Triangle Looms
 for Continuous Strand Weaving
Due to popular demand, Bob is now making a full size 6 foot adjustable triangle loom with 7 settings: 3, 3.5, 4, 4.5, 5, 5.5, & 6 ft. along the hypotenuse in strong red oak.  Brown nails mark the points for each size setting along the weaving hypotenuse.  Beige nails mark every 10th nail after the 1st where the yarn is initially anchored.  This helps make the nail count simpler when designing color or pattern changes.  With 1/2 in nail spacing, the loom is great for handspun yarns.  It is stained in the following colors.  Red Oak, Golden Oak, or Dark Walnut.  All are satin polyurethane finished.  Easy to assemble with all hardware included.
Costs: $255.00 each + $20.40 tax (& shipping/handling to be determined).  To save shipping costs, you may find it better to pick up this large loom at either Mill Artisans in Sherburne, NY or at one of the fiber festivals we attend.  Contact us to make these arrangements.
Occasionally Bob makes a 7 ft. adjustable triangle loom.  Cost is $295.00 each + $23.60 (& shipping/handling to be determined). Contact us for availability.
The Student/Portable loom we use in our Triangle Loom Weaving Workshops is now also available for purchase. This red oak loom has 3/8 ” nail spacing and comes in it’s natural oak color with a satin polyurethane finish.  It easily breaks down for transport for class or vacation.

Stands for Continuous Strand Weaving Looms
Viv has tried multiple methods to support a variety of Triangle and Rectangle Loom sizes and eventually asked Bob to make one for her to her specifications.  That first version has been through a number of revisions but we are proud to offer, the results of those trial and error occurrences.  Designed to be flexible, this stand can be used to support Triangle, Rectangle, and Square Continuous Strand Weaving Looms from small portable sizes up to 7 feet.  It can be set up as a Table Top or as a Full Size Floor Model and can be folded or easily taken partially or completely apart for storage.  There are multiple pre-drilled holes so you have choices for positioning the Support Dowels; tri-looms may be hung with point up or down.  Made of White Pine, the wood has been left Natural Colored to allow the beauty of your loom and project to take center stage.  It has been finished, of course, with a Satin Polyurethane for protection.  (Contact Bob if you want one made to similarly match your Rectangle Loom.  $25 non-refundable deposit required on all custom stand orders.)
One important advantage of this stand is that you can purchase just the Table Top Model initially and add on the Conversion Kit to make it the Full size Floor Model at a later date.  This is great if you are starting out with a small loom to “test” your interest and later want to add a full size unit.  No need to buy another second/bigger stand or a flimsy artist’s easel.

We also have shorter weaving hooks (actually they are Locker Hooks that are often hard to find).  They are made of light weight aluminum which means less hand fatigue, & no rusting or corrosive issues with your dyed or natural yarns.  They have a smooth & large eye & hook that will fit more yarns and are about 6.5 inches long – perfect for starting and ending weaving patterns and for tight yarn manipulations.
Costs: $5 each + $0.40 tax (no shipping fees)  Short Weaving Hook

Continuous Strand Weaving Books
And for your convenience, we carry Viv’s 3 most favorite books written for the Continuous Strand weaving method.
Tri Loom Weaving by Barbara A. Herdman (now deceased) – Viv thinks this is the best starter book for learning how to use the Triangle Loom.
Costs: $22.50 each + $1.80 tax (standard shipping to be determined)
Triangle Loom Weaving Twills ‘N More – Volume 1 (newly revised) by Patricia A. Herman – When you are tired of plain tabby weave, this is your next step!
Costs: $27.95 each + $2.24 tax (standard shipping to be determined)
Twills ‘N More Volume 2 Triangle Loom Weaving by Patricia A. Herman – This is more of a project book in its approach and uses the small quilt-like size looms out there.  The patterns make it a good addition for rounding out your library.
Costs: $15.99 each + $1.28 tax (standard shipping to be determined)

Peg Looms
All handcrafted from Red Oak, our looms and pegs are great looking and strong; sure to hold up for all your weaving projects whether they are rugs, placemats, chair or bench pads, scarves, or wall hangings.  Bob has left them a natural color and added a Satin Polyurethane finish on the loom for a bit more protection.  He’s even put 4 little felt pads on the loom bottom so it will not mar your table as you work.  This makes each unit about 1.25 inches thick; the pegs will stick up above the unit when in place.  These units come complete with everything you need except for the actual project yarns.  We’ve even included clothespins to keep your warp yarns tidy – enough for the maximum pegs in a row.  Our looms are approximately 5.5 inches deep so they easily hold at least two rows of peg holes with different spacings so you can select the appropriate placement to make your weaving as tight as you want.  The 3/8 inch diameter pegs are a good height of 6 inches – enough to give you an opportunity to view a new design pattern but not so tall that you have problems pulling the warp through the weft.  (Contact Bob if you want him to make your pegs a different height.)  When we refer to our 12 Inch model, please recognize that the 12 inches refers to the approximate outside long dimension of the loom itself.  Your weaving will extend beyond the 12 inches when you take it off the loom; the amount varies depending on the thickness of the warp yarns, the flexibility of the weft yarns, and how tightly you weave.  Of course you do not have to use all the pegs in a row and can make your woven projects smaller in width accordingly.  The lengths of all woven projects are purely dependent on the length of warp yarns used and the weaver’s imagination.
12 Inch – 2 Row – 15 peg holes are 3/4 inch apart in 1 row, 12 peg holes are 7/8 inch apart in 1 row.  Unit includes: Instructions, 15 pegs, 15 clothespins, & cording for peg loops.
